Inclusion Weekly: National Banner Presentation
Welcome to the final episode of “Inclusion Weekly”. In this episode, we rejoin the members of the Colorado State University College Club. These members explain how to become a National Banner School. In order to become a National Banner School a school must work hard. The school must meet the ten standards of excellence set by Special Olympics. After a school meets those standards there is a celebration. This is a celebration of accomplishments called a presentation. The presentations vary from half-time recognition to a whole-school assembly. After, National Banner Schools get a banner that they can hang with pride. This banner is a reminder. It reminds the student body to continue to make their school more inclusive.
